2010 Festival Writing

As in previous years a Writing Competition was held and prizes were offered for prose and drama in three categories; Age 11-14, 15-18 and Adult, on the subjects: Changing History: What Would You Do To Change History?  Or alternatively, Does History Matter?

The quality of the entries was high and as usual the judges had a difficult choice. Lady Hatch kindly agreed to give out the prizes at the Festival closing ceremony on Sunday 16th May in  Chalfont St Giles Parish Church, and Peter Jefferson of the BBC was on hand to read the first-placed prose entries: we are most grateful to both for their help.

PDFs of the complete pieces can be viewed by clicking on the bold titles. All pieces are copyright the authors and are not to be used without permission.
